Realise’s product design shortlisted
Realise were excited to receive our second DAME Design Award shortlisting at METSTRADE Show 2019 this week for the Em-Trak B200 AIS transceiver that we helped design for Em-Trak!
We had previously won a DAME award for the Marine Guard OceanView Security Camera security camera in 2014.
The DAME Design Award is a global competition, held annually at the Marine Equipment Technology trade show, showing off everything marine equipment.
Running for 29 years, DAME focuses on all aspects of styling, functionality and innovation across product offering, technology, service and maintenance.

Em-Trak is a UK branch of SRT Marine, a south-west UK company specialising in HF-AIS transceiver technology for leisure and commercial marine vessels.
Key requirements for the B200 product included an IP68 rated enclosure to ensure that the crucial technology housed within can reliably withstand the harshest marine environments whilst offering easy manufacture, assembly, maintenance and installation.
The Em-Trak B200 had great company on the Awards stand, sitting alongside innovations from Garmin, Raymarine and ScanStrut.

Of course Andrew is delighted that we’re winning awards in the marine industry, given that it’s an area close to his heart as a keen sailor. Our Design Director, David Connell reflected after the show –
“We’re really proud of what the team has achieved on the B200. It fuses solid user-centered design from both a user, manufacturer, and assembly perspective in a high performance IP rated enclosure. It also acts a showcase for close electro-mechanical design collaboration within electronic product development, working alongside the excellent development team at SRT Marine”
