Meet the team
Realise design is made up of a small number of exceptional design professionals, experienced in developing innovative product solutions, and supported by a network of industry specialists in electronics, IP and engineering. We are beyond ordinary.
Andrew is the founder and director of Realise and is the man who drives Realise forward. With an engineering background (he has a degree in Naval Architecture from Southampton Uni) and an artistic streak, Andrew is very practical and happiest either getting his hands dirty fixing bicycles or getting them wet sailing fast boats. He is married, with three boys, a Jack Russell and a 1970′s Norton.
David came to Realise having led industrial design within an international manufacturing and development group. He has 10 years’ experience leading the design process and creating successful products for some great brands, having obtained a First class in Product design from Brunel University. David competes for Bath rowing club, and loves riding anything on two wheels.
Jeff has been Realise’s financial guide since incorporation and helps to make sure we stay on the financial map as we grow. His other passion is orienteering where he coaches both the England and Great Britain junior teams in international competitions. Cool. So now you know who to call if you get lost in the Peak District.
Ali is Realise’s all-round studio hero and the company secretary. When she is not whipping us into shape and keeping the studio in order, she also finds time to be a Designer Goldsmith and a mum to their 3 boys. She’s become adept at filling creative roles in the studio. More recently she’s been focusing on developing our creative textiles capability having originally trained as fashion designer!
Head of New Developments
Sean heads up new developments at Realise: Partnerships with local and national companies, bringing on new clients to add to our portfolio, new events and all outgoing communications from the business. Sean brings a wealth of marketing and advertising experience having worked on big name clients at previous agencies.
Product Design Engineer
David brings great knowledge and experience overcoming complex technical and functional challenges in the consumer and industrial sector, along with a natural aptitude for product brand development and cohesion.
With a strong background in sourcing and supply from the far east, David originally studied Product Design at Bristol’s UWE.
Scott joined Realise having worked in the educational toy sector, originally graduating from Bournemouth with a degree in Industrial Design.
He brings a creative ambition and a thirst for knowledge in Colour, Material and Finish (CMF) and its application within design. When he isn’t bringing new and fresh ideas to the table, Scott can be found running trails or wandering on mountains in his spare time.
Alex experience is gained from tacking challenging technical briefs across multiple UK agencies.
With diverse experience ranging from moulded train interiors to medical devices and everything in between, Alex brings a keen eye for conformance, safety and quality in his work.
Tom Joins us with a first class degree in Product Design from Sheffield Hallam’s design school. Having several design awards under his belt, including the CSD (Chartered Society of Designers), and securing a prestigious spot to display his work at Yodex design show in Taiwan. He’s worked at studios in the UK and the Netherlands, and brings creative problem solving with his variety of international design experience to the team.
Head of Growth & Development
With more industry contacts than you could shake a stick at, Richard’s our networking superstar: Helping Realise identify companies who are having issues overcoming technical challenges or who are in need of a fresh perspective in their product developments.
Head of Security
Bean is Head of Security and hoovering at Realise. He is a Jack Russell through and through, so when he isn’t gazing out of the window at female K9′s, growling at dodgy people, or dreaming about rabbits, he’s busy trying to get us to play with the squeaky bone or feed him biscuits.
